COMPTIA SERVER +

The CompTIA Server+ certification exam covers system hardware, software, storage, best practices in an IT environment, disaster recovery and troubleshooting. This intermediate level credential proves that workers know how to implement server-based hardware and software in a data center environment.
To achieve this certification you must pass the designated exam. 

In this 3 month, instructor-led course you will install, configure, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot servers. You will also examine the server hardware and software, server IT environment, disaster recovery concepts, and learn information and skills that will be helpful on the job.  

Overview

The CompTIA® Server+® (Exam SK0-004) course builds on your existing professional experience with personal computer hardware support to present the next tier of skills and concepts that you will use on the job when administering any type of network server. If your job duties include server troubleshooting, installation, or maintenance, or if you are preparing for any type of network server-related career, it provides the primary knowledge and skills you will require to be successful. The CompTIA® Server+® (Exam SK0-004) course can also benefit you if you are preparing to take the CompTIA Server+ examination (Exam SK0-004).

Exam Prep Software
All of our CompTIA classes include access to web-based practice exams. CompTIA certification exams are very rigorous and challenging. By studying after the class and using these practice exams, you will greatly improve your chances of passing the actual certification exam the first time. Exam prep software is included with all CompTIA classes delivered by ONLC Training Centers.

Additional Notes Regarding CompTIA Certification Exams
As with most professional IT certifications, many addition hours of study are required before the class (meeting the prerequisites) and after the class (reviewing exam objectives and practice questions). Expect to spend a significant number of hours studying outside of the class before you take a CompTIA or any other IT professional exam.

Target Audience:
This course is designed for IT professionals such as PC, desktop, and help desk technicians who have experience supporting PC hardware who wish to make the transition to become server hardware and support specialists. This course is also designed for existing server managers who are preparing to take the CompTIA Server+ Exam SK0-004.
 
Prerequisites
To ensure your success in your course you should have 18 to 24 months of hands-on experience with installation, configuration, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of PC hardware and network operating system issues. It is also recommended that you have the CompTIA A+ certification or the equivalent training and experience. You can obtain this level of skills and knowledge by taking the following Logical Operations courses:
