CCNA

This course provides you with the knowledge and skills needed to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot a small enterprise network. You learn to perform fundamental skills including Quality of Service (QoS) elements and understanding their applicability, how virtualized and cloud services interact and impact enterprise networks and, you will cover an overview of network programmability and the related controller types and tools that are available to support software defined network architectures. 

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching is a certification program for entry-level network engineers that helps maximize your investment in foundational networking knowledge and increase the value of your employer's network. CCNA Routing and Switching is for Network Specialists, Network Administrators, and Network Support Engineers with 1-3 years of experience. The CCNA Routing and Switching validates the ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size routed and switched networks. To achieve this certification you must pass the designated exam.

Overview

Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices 1 (3 months)
ICND1 v3.0 is a 3 month, instructor-led training course that teaches learners how to install, operate, configure, and verify a basic IPv4 and IPv6 network, including configuring a LAN switch, configuring an IP router, managing network devices, and identifying basic security threats

Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices 2 (3 months)
ICND2 is a 3 month course that covers topics in more depth and teaches learners how to perform basic troubleshooting steps in enterprise branch office networks, preparing learners for Cisco CCNA certification. 
 
When using a higher level of certification to extend other certifications, the expiration date of other certifications will extend to the expiration date of the higher certification (i.e.: If you have one year left on your CCNA Routing and Switching certification and you earn a CCIE certification (which has a two-year certification life) then both your CCIE certification and your CCNA Routing and Switching certification will expire two years from the date you achieved the CCIE certification).

Course Content
The Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices, Part 1 (ICND1) v3.0 course provides you with the knowledge and skills that are needed to install, operate, configure, and verify a basic IPv4 and IPv6 network, including configuring a LAN switch, configuring an IP router, managing network devices, and identifying basic security threats. The course focuses on the functions of networking, knowledge of Cisco routers and switches, establishing internet connectivity, managing ACLs, configuring device security, implementing VLANs and trunks, configuring static routing and RIPv2, and becoming familiar with IPv6.
